This is a dedicated single channel receiver that can be quickly connected to the mains ring for surveillance purposes. The receiver is a high specification super heterodyne, frequency-synthesised type. Extensive filtering is added in order to remove interference prevalent in the mains supply. The de-companding circuitry matching that of the transmitter ensures clear audio quality.
